East Brunswick is centrally located to an abundance of employment opportunities within reasonable traveling distance by car, train, and bus. A number of top-flight companies and institutions are nearby, including Rutgers University, Princeton University, Johnson & Johnson, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Saint Peter’s University Hospital, Ernst & Young, Prudential, Aetna, Ericsson, Dow Jones, and more. New Jersey is home to nearly 20 companies on the Fortune 500 list. 

The township operates two park-and-ride facilities from which Suburban Transit provides rush-hour bus service to Port Authority Bus Terminal and Lower Manhattan. Additionally, East Brunswick is a 15-minute drive from three NJ Transit rail stations: New Brunswick, Edison, and Jersey Avenue. Amtrak service along the Northeast Corridor north to New York City and Boston and south to Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington DC is available at New Brunswick and Metropark Stations.
